What This Pathway Covers

This pathway is designed for dogs pursuing therapy certification or higher level public access reliability. Training focuses on stability, neutrality, handler control, and measurable behavioral standards.

  • AKC Advanced Canine Good Citizen Standards

  • Therapy dog readiness evaluation

  • Environmental neutrality and impulse control

  • Handler guidance and structured expectations

Our Structured Approach

Training progresses through clearly defined benchmarks to ensure reliability, stability, and appropriate public behavior.

  1. Evaluation Assessment of temperament and suitability for therapy or     advanced public access work.

  2. Foundational Standards Obedience reliability, neutrality, and handler control.

  3. Public Environment Proofing Controlled exposure to real-world environments and distractions.

  4. Certification Preparation for CGC, Advanced CGC, or therapy dog evaluations. 

Expectations & Suitability

Therapy and public access development require stability, neutrality, and consistency handler participation.

  • Dogs must demonstrate stable temperament

  • Consistent handler follow-through is required

  • Public behavior standards are non-negotiable

  • Training is conducted by appointment in Waco, Texas
